dpaasch is on a distinguished road
Lightbulb Young female with job at CDC, where would YOU live??

I am moving from Madison Wisconsin to Atlanta in a week and have yet to decide on where to live.
Do I decide before I move? (we are road-tripping)
Do I pick something where I can walk to CDC?
Is driving to work in Atlanta hard?

Picking a place BEFORE I move is a tall order I recognize and I have racked up many hours on my laptop looking for apartments, roommates, churches etc.
Ideally I want to live with young Christian females, close to the CDC.
Is this even possible?
What would YOU do?
I'm adventurous and use to an ecclectic young and intellectual communities.
Do I trade convenience of proximity for the "spirit" of WHERE I live?? Because I hear people don't venture far from the community they live in.

::quite confused::

There are numerous previous threads on where to live around Emory.
Here's one>>>
http://www.city-data.com/forum/atlan...sing-near.html

You might contact/visit Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church on/near the Emory campus and obtain FYI on finding a roommate. You could also contact Candler School of Theology or Columbia Theological Seminary about roommates.
Glenn Memorial UMC

About 10-15 minutes north of Emory/Clifton Rd is an older neighborhood off Briarcliff Rd, Briarcliff Heights. Renovated 50's ranchers and many young professionals of the type you seek live here, singles and families. There are many apartments, condos and townhomes in this area--Executive Park/Toco Hill.

In the other direction Candler Park might be a good choice. Medlock Park is another option located off Clairmont Rd minutes from Emory, near the VA/Veteran's Administration.
