What's it like... Any recommendations on lofts/apartments near there...

What would the commute be like to Lenox... both driving and on Marta

Its bordered on the east by a wealthy single family neighborhood (Ansley Park) and on the west by the freeway which to me gives it the feeling of small contained neighborhood that is gradually becoming more urban. Its a developing area (like most of Atlanta) that at this point has mostly midrise buildings but there are plans for several highrises in the area. Theres not a lot of residential immediatly around there.

Taking Marta to Buckhead from there is a breeze... just two stops to either Lenox or Buckhead station. I personally don't care for driving to Buckhead.

Great area. Tons of apartments, lofts, condos. Easy access to Midtown (well, you are in Midtown), Buckhead, Aquarium/CNN, and Piedmont Park. Good eats too!

Also note that the area around the Lindbergh Center has apartments as well, is a decent area, and only one stop from the Buckhead stations.

The apartments might be slightly less expensive there compared to the Arts Center District. Once the Trump Tower Atlanta project is complete around Arts Center, realty/apartment prices will most likely take a jump.
