Default Midtown vs. Little Five Points

Can anyone tell me what the overall differences are between these two areas of town for a single, 30 yr old male, who will be working near the Peachtree Center.

From all of my research, they look fairly similar. I am looking for easy non-auto access to work, some open space to bike and chill out and restaurants/bars nearby.

And I will be renting and hopefully spending less than $750 if that is doable.

L5P has a more funky, 'alternative' vibe...Midtown has a more 'glossy' mix of shops and restaurants. Also L5P is more compact than Midtown...everything is contained in a couple of blocks.

Yep, Little Five Points is smaller than most believe it is before they visit it for the first time.

Map showing pretty much the whole area: AREA MAP

Midtown is spread out over a much larger area. Midtown is a mix of young single people, a large gay population, slight funk and slight glitz, etc. Little Five Points is more spiked hair, body piercings and tattoos.
