Just a heads-up on something to do without having to drive very far (for some):

This Saturday (Oct. 4th) is the "Cobb Food & Arts Festival", in West Cobb County. It used to be the Taste of Kennesaw, but they made it broader and moved it to Jim Miller Park in West Cobb, in-between Powder Springs and Marietta. It now aside from having 20+ food vendors (pay as you taste), will also offer local arts and crafts vendors, and a car show. Admission is free though again, you pay per sample for the food.

The weather forcast is for sunny and around 80-degrees that day.

Planning ahead two weeks, the City of Powder Springs will have their first Arts Festival on October 18th from 10am to 6pm in downtown Powder Springs (West Cobb). Link to small blurb about it on the City web site: http://www.cityofpowdersprings.org/index.asp?NID=428 (broken link)

Default Fun

That looks worth checking into. I just moved right down the street from there so the park is now within walking distance.

Some good eats going on!

Just keep in mind when you're trying out the samples - as I learned the hard way one year... it's not good to mix sausage and peppers with spicey Asian food, and top if off with some lasagna.
