Another Case of
Thats because there nothing else to do there. If anything new hits that city of course there going go nuts. Atlanta has been getting some of the largest events for years you should know that.
This is another case of people in Atlanta thinking there is nothing going in Charlotte. While not on the scale of "Hotlanta" there is something going on in Charlotte all the time. Plays, concerts, clubs, bars, parks, outdoor activities, anything you basically want to do you can do in Charlotte.

I think most of us are aware that there are events and happenings in Charlotte...there is obviously entertainment in a city that size. I've been drunk and falling down in your city on numerous occasions...shopped at the old uptown Ivey's back in the 80s...rode "Lighting -- Strikes --Now" at Carowinds and screamed like a littlel girl...spent the day on Lake Norman...sat in traffic to see the lights of McAdenville...seen a Hornet's game at the old Charlotte Coliseum...etc...etc...

I guess that's why people in charlotte are here on the weekends partying and shopping etc on the weekends. So I guess you can enjoy your small city. Festivities

You act Atlanta invented the wheel or something. The same way you put Cjharlotte down, guess what people in cities larger than Atlanta look at ya'll the same way. I currently live in the Baltimore/Washington DC area and you mention Atlanta and you get a collective shrug.

I'm pretty sure people in Atlanta could care less about that area too because what you fail to realize is people from that area moves to Atlanta. Atlanta probably gets put down more than any other city in the country and it's all out of jealousy. The growth is evident and it's not going to end for a while.

Well congrats to Atlanta on that. For the record I like the city of Atlanta, but I ain't all gaga over it. As a military member, I've seen cities all over the world and US, some worse, some better than Atlanta. It's just a matter of opinion really. I guess people in Atlanta have reason to poke the chest out, but so do the people of Charlotte. As a Charlotte native, I'm going to rep and defend my hometown. And as I have found out the good people of Atlanta will do the same. Peace, two fingers!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE PAVILLION
STRIKE CITY
EPICENTRE THEATERS

Epicenter looks pretty cool! I'll check it out next time I head back home to Greensboro. I actually think that downtown Atlanta proper could use something like this. I don't mind giving Charlotte props for nice developments, I was just stating earlier that Atlantic Station is a mini-city with it's own skyscrapers, condos, etc and Epicenter is a development within the main downtown core of Charlotte. Nothing against Epicenter, I just feel that the projects are on two different scales. Atlanta actually has a lot of live, work, play projects coming on board across the metro similar to Atlantic Station. Huntsville Alabama even has a nice spot called "Bridge Street town center". If you haven't seen it, you should check out the website. It has the same type of movie theater as Epicenter. My girlfriend is from there, so hang there when we are in town.
