Default Atlanta rental recommendations

I am moving to Atlanta, from LA, at the end of the year and am looking to rent somewhere around Emory. It would be cool to live in a neighborhood similar to So. Pasadena, Westwood, Santa Monica, Venice or Miracle Mile (urban neighborhoods with single professionals, good eateries, nightlife). I'd like to be pay < 1500 and would prefer to be within a 5mi radius of Emory.

Any recommendations? Also are their any sites similar to westsiderentals.com for Atlanta?

-Thanks

Man, I can help you out. I live in a house on emory campus. There is an area called virginia highlands right next to emory. If you search for it I think you will find it a perfect fit. Lots of bars reasturants and places to shop. I actualy know two places that are on the emory shuttle line that are very nice for 1300 a month. Let me know if you would like to see pictures or need any more information.

I dont know if you have rented a place yet but if you still need a rental, I have a home that my current renters are moving out of. The neighborhood is called Kirkwood/East Atlanta. It is a very urban area that is located near all the essentials....places to eat, bars, shopping. If you are interested let me know. Hope you like Atlanta! It has been great for us.

Just go on promove.com or rent.net. Finding a place to live here is WAYYYYY easier than in LA. Emory is a great area. So is Virginia Highland which is right next door. Quainter stuff in houses is found more on Craigslist. But the complexes all have pools and gyms and luxuries. You shouldn't have a problem at all. It's your pick!

Walter, still have that place available? I am moving to Atlanta in January from Dallas, and I need to find a place. Kirkwood was on my list. Let me know, thanks!
