Can anyone tell me if they are familiar with these areas? How far from central/downtown Atlanta? If they are in the boon docks?

Thanks!

I can't be certain about the first two but the rest are 20-40 miles from intown Atlanta.
Buford is north, Stone Mountain east, Dallas I believe is west and Fairburn is south.

If you can consider living in a condo or a townhouse you can probably find something in an area that is acceptable to you.

I'm thinking these three will be closest to the city center.

I googled this one--located near Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and Camp Creek Pkwy. If this is near historic College Park or East Point both have central areas with shopping and dining but I don't know about 'Nightlife'.

It appears that these are all built by KB Home. From my experience, I have dealt with Hampton Oaks and Waterford Commons, both in the Fairburn area (South Fulton County). Hampton Oaks is certainly a well designed neighborhood.

I am not sure about the others but I actually live in the Parks at Cedar Grove and it is a 15-20 minute drive in the mornings to downtown. It is a great community and I am suprised they have deals like that going on. I apparently bought a little to early.

There are a bunch of places closer to downtown in decatur right off 20 which would have a 10 min drive to downtown. I was looking in that area before I bought and can send you all the different neighborhoods worth looking at.
