Cumming/Forsyth County
Hi
After the many threads I opened, I many times heard some of you telling me that Cumming would be probably a place I like.
I have therefore listed a few houses there but I then found the following article:
GEORGIA COUNTY BRACING FOR TROUBLE - New York Times
it is about the KKK, and I have no idea if, not being American, they would be dangerous to us?

Forsyth County has a tortured and unflattering past. This article was written 21 years ago. A lot has changed in Forsyth County since then...especially in South Forsyth.

I was about 1 when that article was published. It's outdated and I don't know if any clan people are openly holding rallies now in that area.

Times change, people change - that was 20 years ago. At one time Stone Mountain was the headquarters for the KKK.

Don't sweat it. It's a good thing that you asked.

The KKK/Ku Klux Klan began after the Civil War and targeted African Americans, primarily. In the recent past I believe they included other minority groups but as others have stated 'Times Have Changed' and this is really not a reason to avoid Forsyth county.
Many transplants enjoy living near Lake Lanier.

You say that times have changed. Does that mean that they don't exist anymore or are now a peaceful movement?
Also, what do you understand by minority groups? are you speaking in terms of race (not american) or wealth? or colour?
I guess it is not important anymore if the KKK is just an old story of the past.
