Winter sounds wonderful and like some Norman Rockwell painting, and can be when the first storm hits in Dec, but just wait until late March or early April, when you're exhausted from the dark, the cold, and the snow and just want some warm weather and to see the ground. I grew up in Southern New England and now live in Atlanta (for now). I cannot wait to get back up there and experience winter and snow again.

And then there was the Blizzard of '93 (in MARCH)...which I guess was just a few inches (please correct me if I am wrong) but as a 12 yr old kid, it seemed like 3 ft of snow, it was FABULOUS!!!!

And Christmas shopping in Nov in short sleeves and flip flops?? GA weather is well....messed up. I need for mother nature to make up her mind, hot or cold in the winter!! This is why I am moving to Mass. I need real winters!

It was 1993 - my oldest son who was 4 at the time. He had the cutest Peter Pan costume but he had to wear a coat and sweatpants over it, sorta lost the whole effect!

I'm looking forward to cooking Thanksgiving dinner in shorts!
