To the original thread starter. I have been talking about coming to GA for 2 years and in the same situation as you only my children father is included in the one's left behind along w/ grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.., etc.., etc... I had to make a decision on what's best for me and my children and stepped out on faith and moved 800 (although that is not over 2,000 miles) miles away . I have my fiance' but we have no one else and the best advise I could give is follow your heart ( may seem as if it's not much) and let go and let God.

It's true....I have heard of lots of situations where the extended family moves close to the nuclear family. Especially when the nuclear family lives in cheaper place. I noticed this alot when we lived in Phx, AZ. Alot families from the midwest ( grandmas, grandpas, sister and brothers, etc) all move to be close together. They dont mind leaving those snowy winters behind.

I know no one will move to southern CA and give up what they have in GA...like in my situation. It obviously makes better sense for us to get back there.

Good luck...OC...I know you will make the best choice!

Default Keep positive!

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger!! Make the most out of it! It is your very own place! How great is that to be able to start fresh!! Start a new life with your family and send pictures/make phone calls back home! Make an effort to put money away for times you need/want to go home! ENJOY!!
