Default Single Life in Alpharetta/Milton or surrounding Area

I'm a 47 year-old down to earth widow with three young kids. I am planning to move to the Milton/Alpharetta area in about one year. My husband died three years ago and I haven't dated very much in my area as the men in South Florida I've met at least, tend to be very immature, ego centered and materialistic. My question is--is there any social life for older singles in Alpharetta or am I going to be a slave to JDate or Match.com? Thanks, MW

I doubt you'll find many single men in Alpharetta. You might wanna look closer to Atlanta.

Sage Woodfire Tavern on Haynes Bridge Rd in Alpharetta supposedly has a very active older singles' scene. It's a classy place that has live jazz on many nights.

Default Thanks for responding

I appreciate the advice. I know it won't be easy. I wonder if there is a Parents Without Partners Organization. I belonged to one in South Florida, but it was all women. The only man in the group got scooped up right away! MW
