Default I like Georgia

Here's my perspective. People like where they live because it suits them. There's red & blue, OTP & ITP, religious & no religion, gay & straignt, children and no children, etc ...

I'm an urbanite and always will be. I've seen urban centers from Moscow to Sydney, and, the beautiful towns of Clayton in north Georgia, Irwinton in middle Georgia and Tybee Island on the coast. I would not be happy or comfortable living in a suburban, exhurban or rural area. Civil comments?

What are you looking for? Are you asking if others like Georgia or are you wondering where people like and why?

I love it too. I have been here since July. Have a high schooler and a child in the 4th grade. the great thing about GA is that there are so many areas to choose to live. if you want to be around yuppies, you can, gays, you can, blacks, you can, etc. its diverse and that is beautiful too. and it will hopefully be a democratic state soon!!! Yeah

I'm becoming more content with the city. I recognize that it offers a tremendous amount for a family. Low (relatively) cost of living, great weather, numerous activities, easy access to vacations by car and plane. Sure, it's not a thriving walking culture and it's filled with big box beyond belief. Once kids are out of the house, well, I'm CA bound.

Hi ILGA,

Well said. I'm a suburbanite and I love it. I have a daughter who is like you, loves the city (Philly) I hate the city. To each his own.

Gosh don't hold your breath. We may have to resuscitate you.

BTW the incumbent Governor is the first GOP leader since 1872.
