First off, I am sorry to offend anyone, but I refuse to sugar coat things just to be PC. That is the culture of those cities, like it or not. We just could not stand it anymore, and felt that we were surrounded by it and counldnt get away from it no matter what area we lived in (Metarie in NOLA, Midtown Memphis, then Germantown).
I feel that the only way I could get what I wanted was to come out and say it. If you cannot handle the truth, I am sorry, but it is not my problem.
Dallas was an option, but I could not find a job in my line of work.
Nashville, Charlotte, Austin and Louisville are both too far from New Orleans. We want to be driving distance no more than 7 1/2 hours away.
Of course we know there are blacks in Atlanta, and all over the South for that matter. We chose Atlanta because it is different than other provincial southern cities in that it is an international city, and figured the international population would bring its own culture so the hip-hop one was not the ONLY one. We also know that it is not the 1950's and woould not find any area in any American metropolitan area that is all white. Thats why I said MAJORITY white, not ALL white.
At the same time, it would not offend me if someone came on here and said they were looking for black areas and did not want to be around rednecks. In fact, people do it all the time and no one seems to bat an eye. There is a complete double standard and I refuse to play into it.
Thanks so much for those who have responded. So far I have:
Roswell
Alpharetta
Johns Creek
Milton
Forsyth County
North of Forsyth County
East Cobb
Are there any other areas that are not on this list? Thanks so much.

Cherokee County would also be a good candidate for your list.
No worries, mate.

I am black and not offended by you wanting to live with a majority of White People, just the original stereotypes. Because frankly, I do not want to live around the people you described , in your original post either, regardless of color. For the most part, if you are going to pay nearly 600k for your house, you will NOT be living around those type of people. With that said I would suggest you stick with North Forsyth, unfortunately your commute is going to be AWFUL..
I would also like to add the PC term is thrown around, too often. There is a difference between being Non-PC and being flat out offensive. To imply the following characteristics DO NOT exist in the white community is fallacious at best.
"uneducated, cannot speak english, sense of enititlement and victimization, crime, children out of wedlock, fatherless, inappropriate clothing, and hip hop profanity."

Of course, but I never said that these do not exist in the white community. Ever heard of White Trash? The difference is there really is not a white trash culture in Memphis or NOLA, or really any city, since those people tend to reside in rural areas. I never really encountered these problems on a large scale with the white people that lived in those cities, so it was not an issue that I would think I needed to avoid in a city like Atlanta.

Thanks for the clarification, your post seemed to apply the opposite but I am glad you set me straight. I suggest you rent a place first and then buy. This way you can get used the the commute and become more familiar with the area.

OK, here goes...
1. It's funny how people use "non-PC" as a code word for racism.
2. Be ready...whites here are way more cosmopolitan than the whites in the "Western South." You may not fit in, and whites may not want your type among them.
3. Blacks are everywhere in Metro Atlanta. I'm thinking this as well--you may be surprised and offended by the level of affluence, influence, and power that Blacks have here...here in Atlanta, blacks are definitely not "in their place."
4. Considering the history of the U.S. and the American South, someone asking for a majority white area is not the same as someone asking for a black majority area. It's not a double standard--and it's a field you need to "play" on (no matter who's in the White House now.). It's just the cross that whites have to bear...maybe until kingdom come.

I still think Nashville is more your kind of town. The mileage difference is negligible (469 miles vs. 412). I would never recommend Atlanta to someone interested in avoiding black folk and hip-hop culture.
