Default RN trying to relocate to atlanta

I am a registered nurse looking to possibly relocate to atlanta, does anyone have any idea what the pay is like. I really love the atlanta area butI have heard that the pay is low is comparison to other major cities. are apartments really expensive, and where would be a nice area in the city or suburbs where apartments are affordable. Any information would be appreciated

A 1 or 2 BDR apartment in the metro Atlanta area might typically range from $800-1500/month in areas where medical facilities are located.

There are all kinds of apartments/condos/townhomes and SFH's to be found near medical centers. As I said in the first post --a typical 1/2 BDR apartment will range from $800-1500/mo in a safe/nice area.

If you can identify a particular area that would make it easier for posters to provide FYI.

You can 'Search' the archives for previous threads on jobs, housing, general FYI about living in Atlanta. Click 'Advanced Search' and enter a relevant key word. Click 'Atlanta' and the threads will be listed.

There is night and day difference in prices and quality of life. You will love it here! Pay depends on what you can negotiate and is based on experience. But you will make it up in the cost of living savings. A large home rents for about 1000 dollars, apartments are much less than that, depending on bedroom and location. Yes there are hospitals in most areas. Moderator cut: Please no advertisement ! Good luck with your new job.

"Pill Hill" is what the area at the intersection of Johnson's Ferry and Peachtree Dunwoody Rd is jokingly called. Northside Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta - Scottish Rite campus are all located at that intersection. Tons of outpatient medical facilities surround the hospitals. This is considered to be at the edge of the city limits and the northern suburbs.

There are many options for reasonable apartments in that area.
