Both WorldSpan (which I think used to be based here?) and SITA each have a large presence in the Atlanta metro. WorldSpan has a fairly large building in the Cumberland area which is visible from the freeway, and SITA has two large facilities in the metro, one of them in the Cumberland area.

Disclaimer: I work for the latter.

rcsteiner - Worldspan is still based here, always has been. They have recently been purchased by London based TravelPort and merged with Galileo (sp?).

A lot of peope don't realize the critical mass of Airline/Travel Industry back-office and technology businesses here......it's sort of hidden to people outside of the industry.

IBM has a lot of workers here, I don't know all the departments, but I know IBM bought out ISS (Internet Security Systems) and I believe most of the workers are located near the Dunwoody area. IBM has a few other facilities in the area overall. One is near the Cumberland mall area.

It is part of the reason the job market is so bad here -- lots of layoffs/closures in the airline/travel industry

Ironically, though, it's also the reason I'm here. There were far fewer such jobs in the Twin Cities at the time. I think NW was a bit more active with the layoff/furlough axe than DL has been (talking to various current and former employees of each).
