Worst is Peachtree City. About 95% Republican, not much to do unless you like golf, people were rude, very rich area, did not think much of the schools.

Yeah, heaven knows once you move to a "rich" "Republican" area, it's all down hill from there. What's next? Cats and dogs living together?

A cat and two dogs live very amicably at my house. But then, we're Democratic party sympathizers. It's socialist heaven around here.

I'll cheer for my hometown and say Newnan. If I wasn't from there I would say Alpharetta is the best. Worst is probably in Clayton county

Gee, Peachtree City would be a great retirement spot for Saxby Chambliss. Let's see:
1. Republican
2. Golf
3. Rude people
4. Rich
Right up Saxby's alley.
In addition, The University of Alabama School of Medicine is located in Birmingham. Peachtree City provides easy access to I-20, and a short drive to Birmingham.
This medical school is a perfect fit for Saxby's bum knees. Gosh, in no time at all Saxby can toss his wheelchair, pain medications and start enjoying life again. We know, it's been rough.
Saxby, this little ditty is especially for you.
When Saxby gets older losing his hair many years from now, will rich corporations still need him; will rich corporations still feed him when he's far from poor.

I can think of plenty of places in the metro area worse than Peachtree City.
Clayton county was already mentioned. Definitely avoid that area no matter what. That county voted 80% for Barack Obama, but that is not the reason to avoid it. For me personally and probably coming from a very different perspective than dudewithaplan comes, high crime rates is more of an issue rather than the how the locals lean politically.
Better areas are North Fulton, parts of Gwinnett, most of Fayette county and parts of Cobb IMO. Covington is OK as well.
