At gunpoint on a well-lit portion of Georgia Avenue. For what, you ask? A crappy little mp3 player. I don't carry money when I walk in the evening.

Charming

I'm sorry that happened. I know how very unsettling that has to be.

No worries, I'm more amazed at the pointlessness of the crime than upset. I don't even think they can recharge the thing

It's really just this one godawful apartment complex on Martin Street that's souring things up for the Summerhill area. I can hear the security people blaring on their megaphones all day.

Very senseless. I am glad you were not harmed. Being a victim of crime does make one very angry. Hopefully the perpetrator will be caught soon.

I need to ask this question?

If the victim in this or any case like this had their own licensed gun and pulled it on the armed robber and shot them, what would be the ramification of said action?

Sorry for the unfortunate act MorelandWalker.

The bleeding heart judges just keep setting these thugs free after a little bitty wrist slap. I bet the perp has a record 5 pages long. Get a gun and fight these thugs.

That is a good question.

I should keep up with gun laws more but I thought a law was passed last year legalizing guns in state parks, including Piedmont Park???

Yeah, great idea. If he had pulled out his own gun and started a shootout he might not be here to tell the story. That kind of situation is definitely not worth protecting your mp3 player with a gun. No gun, no shooting...pretty simple.
