East Cobb @ Roswell/Johnson Ferry Rds has Trader Joe's, Merchant's Walk, the Avenue at East Cobb (upscale outdoor mall), and LA Fitness all within a block.

Poncey Highland (Ponce de Leon ave/ Highland Ave) is between hip Virginia-Highland, crunchie Little 5 Points and neo-uber Inman Park/Highland. Best of both worlds, cool smaller independent stores, coffee shops, bars, and bookstores but a few upscale shops. Close to Trader Joe's and sorta close to Whole Paycheck.

Skip overpriced and overhyped Buckhead. I might go to Lenox Mall/Phipps Plaza once a year. Oh, btw, forget the lame OTP 'burbs.
You can walk, or maybe ride your bike, but I recommend getting a scooter for intown travel.

Oh yeah and a nice mall/shops that feature a few upscale shops?

I have been there a few times mostly to Decatur, Stone mtn, and caught a glimpse of bucktown and some huge mall area. I didn't see any sidewalks to ride your bike tho. Any one also know of nice parks or botanical gardens located in or near Atlanta?

Any help with all those questions would be greatly appreciated. Some may sound redundant but I couldn't find answers on previous posts!
