Thanks, Lovin. I have more...may add more later...but right now, I am busy studying for my first-ever law school exam (tomorrow morning at 9:45am!).

Plus...
-extending MARTA's heavy rail lines
-street trolleys
-regulated/uniform taxis
-parks built over the Downtown Connector
-More museums (in addition to those already proposed), some possibilities...
*Southern History/Culture
*African Diaspora
*Black Music
*Slavery
*Southern Scot-Irish Culture
*Quilt
*Experience Televison or Film Project (similar to the EMP in Seattle)
*Other Sports Hall of Fames
*...other ideas, etc.
-Tree Museum/Urban Forest Center
-National Aviary
-Indoor Arboretum
-Giant Statue of a Phoenix on a pyre(sp?) (with a nightly fire)
-Replanting/Restrengthening of the Urban/Suburban Forest
-The proposed Multi-Modal Station Downtown
-The semi-proposed complementary Armour Multi-Modal Station
-Commuter Rail Lines!

...could go on--mind is tired, and I don't like to type much...may be inspired some more later on...
OK, procrastination is in full affect...

More ideas...

-A Plaza of the American South (can have flags/monuments of every Southern state; a Confederate {reality/non-glorifyin] Memorial--to appeal to those groups
-Southern Heroes/Historical Figures Statues (tall, greek-like) in a "trail-like" formation along Freedom Parkway in Freedom Park
-A large Christ/or Cross (illuminated) on the peak near the waterworks/reservoir (we are in the bible belt)
-Another defining Monument...several years ago, someone proposed a monument (here in ATL) of several hands reaching for the sky...to symbolize all religions/human rights, etc.
-Another defining Monument..."A Three Maidens of the American South": one Caucasian, one African, one Native American...statues (large). Each would be adorned in attire/headress of the different nations/tribes that have signficantly impacted the history/culture of the South...the Caucasian (European) woman would have elements of the British Isles, some French, and a little Spanish, the African--various ancestral West African nations (Yoruba, Ibo, Angola); the Native American--Cherokee, Creek, Seminole, Choctaw, Chickasaw, etc.

OK...back to Contracts.

One more...

-A media corridor stretching from Five Points up along Marietta Street to the vicinity of CNN Center. The Weather Channel, the various Turner Channels, and other cable channels would relocate there. They would have visible studios and big screens displaying the channels...24-hours a day. CNN would embrace its "Atlanta-ness" more.

I've already been a field...law is to enhance...so having the ideas+law will be good...I think.

Why do you think all of the ideas and law don't mesh? lol.

What I'd like to see in Atlanta...

1) I'd like to see strict enforcement of the anti-panhandling laws downtown.

2) I'd like to see a man-made "river", similar to Riverwalk in San Antonio, lined with restaurants and attractions.

3) Commuter rail to the suburbs with AM, mid-day, and PM service.

4) A ban of anyone from the Bravo network ever being allowed to film another season of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" here ever again.

5) A "fresh seafood" restaurant next to the Georgia Aquarium, just to freak out the tourists.

6) More Virginia-Highland type neighborhoods.

Atlanta needs well-defined, close-knit neighborhoods of different cultures. Chinatown, Little Italy, a German area, etc. Right now, these areas are WAY TOO FAR out. They need to be concentrated in the downtown/Midtown/Buckhead area and serviced by MARTA.

I'll echo the public transit cries for change. When I moved here, I was completely appalled that a metro of this size was so underserviced, and then when I learned that a primary reason was the refusal of people in separate counties, I simply shook my head - it was the start of what I found out was government and culture here in Georgia.

With this crowd, not many people are going to like what I want to see so I'll just keep them to myself. I'll only hint that the first thing would be a 'clensing' of the City Govt.
