I can't be certain you feel this way, but because you mention capitol of civil rights AND capitol of the south in the same post, I would assume that you incorrectly think that southern culture is completely defined by slavery.

If that's the case, then that is ignorance. Southern Culture is defined, in my opinion, by civility and the heritage we had. To only view the negative aspects of Southern culture is ignorant, and only further reinforces the opinions outside the South. Atlanta does a good job of reinforcing the negative aspects of southern culture by it's claim of being the capitol of the south, and most people who live in the south agree with me.

But this is off-topic, has nothing to do with how much Atlanta sucks and/or why it does
