Default LGBT Populations, Percentages, and Rankings

This link should be of interest to many on this forum. A little while back, there was a lot of misunderstanding on a thread about LGBT populations and percentages for cities, etc.

The link below has LGBT populations and percentages (with rankings) for cities (within city limits), metro areas, and states.

Gay village - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Enjoy.

Based on that data if you are LGBT you are better off in a medium sized city maybe, since both Chicago and NYC didn't make the list as far as percentage of total population.

That article didn't really shed any light on the misunderstandings from the earlier thread. It's a very basic explanation of gay populations.

I will never really believe the numbers when they are based on same-sex households, as those numbers are. Same-sex households do not give an accurate count of the actual number of gays and lesbians in a particular city.
