Anyone know of some good schools in Griffin as far as administration and student scores, etc?

From my very close friends who live there, the public schools in Griffin are generally OK to "pretty bad." My particular friends send their daughter to a private church related school. If you want the name of the private school, I can PM it to you (after I ask them the exact name as I forgot it right now).

If you haven't searched yourself online for schools in a certain area, you can narrow down some options by searching, Griffin, GA here: Great Schools - Public and Private School Ratings, Reviews and Parent Community

I did a quick search and noticed that a few schools in Spalding County have a decent "Great Schools" Rating. If you are not aware, the public schools that have the best reputation by test scores in the Southern Crescent (South side metro area) are in Fayette County.

Despite that, I think Griffin is a great town and ideal for many families, but public schools generally are considerd by word-of-mouth average at best (unless someone can tell me otherwise ).

Griffin has a small town feel, but it has had some steady development over the past decade. I suspect a fair number of people there commute to Atlanta and/or Macon since there are not substantial numbers of large employers in Spalding County. Griffin is so far out from Atlanta, I wouldn't even qualify it as metro Atlanta, but I would refer to it as an exurb.
