Just curious about how a home can be "technically" in a county. I live in the Cobb portion of Roswell zip code 30075. Although my mailing address says Roswell, my house is unquestionably in Cobb. We pay Cobb taxes and all our services are Cobb. (For example, we have no choice but to be members of Cobb EMC and participate in being ripped off by Mr Brown and cronies.)
I'm guessing that the situation of the homes in 30350/Dekalb might be the same as mine, but then again, maybe there are different flavors of county/zip combinations...?

It's basically the exact same scenario, it's just that probably 97% of 30350 homes are in Fulton, while just a small stretch on one side of a street happen to be in Dekalb.

For $475k, there are a pretty good number of options in the 30338 zip codes, but just know that there will be some degree of "fix-up" necessary, and you will probably have to sacrifice something like having a flat yard or a basement, or perhaps being on a corner lot or busy road or something.

I believe there is a listing on Dunwoody Walk (across from Wynterhall on Chamblee-Dunwoody Rd) for the mid 400's...a 'city home' and not a 'fixer' at all.[/quote]
I meant that there would be some degree of "fixing"...ie, there are probably gold/brass fixtures to replace, old wall paper, old carpet, etc. versus, say a brand-new build, which is impossible to find in the area for less than $650k.

Have to say that I loved my years in the Hidden Branches subdivision (30338)...if you can find something in there, go for it!
