No - you are no longer human after that - you're some form of weird animal life and don't deserve anything but to be removed from human society forever.
Third, a lot of shop/store owners will have standard glass in their doors and windows. I strongly urge shop/store owners to have "laminated" glass in their doors and windows, and to even spend the extra money to have "impact resistant film" installed on them as well. Yes, you're talking a few dollars extra, but you're making it much much harder for people to break into your establishment in this manner. A few dollars is well worth protecting the lives of your employees and patrons.

I am usually against the Death Penalty, but not in this case.
Greg brings up a good point. This place had its TV's stolen 6 times in the past year, all via smash and grabs. Why the owner didnt reinforce those windows in beyond me.

That's amazing. I used to turn at that intersection every day and the beautiful flat screen TVs they had always beckoned from inside that restaurant.
That happened 6 times? Are you sure? If that's true, that's an amazing fact and raises some questions about the management.

I am sorry it was 6 times in 2 years. I got this info from the AJC video. I remember being in there once after the TV's had just been stolen.

I've always wondered that about Atlanta stores during the blue jean bandit spree. Most of the stores have glass fronts and at night, they don't have any kind of security (bars, steel etc etc) to prevent folks from entering....
Sad, someone was killed even after doing as they requested...smh...

Many of the stores got gates after this. The perps just chose to rob them in the middle of the day. A couple of the stores are in very visible parts of Peachtree, it didnt matter.

Robbers shoot Grant Park bar worker in head | ajc.com
It's so sad they shot the man in cold blood while complying with everything the robbing murderers wanted. To think they are still roaming the streets right now is horrific!

That's realistic.

What you think all 4 stood next to each other in a row and shot? A person can barracade themself in the office and shoot their asses as the come thru the door.
So what if it was only two gunmen or even one? Then is it ok?
I'm just saying a gun could have helped, not that it necessarily would have.

They can easily be ambushed coming out/going in as well.
I hope the perpetrators are caught.

Well, I think the idea that a gun 'couldn't' possibly help is wrong. I'm not saying definatively it would, but to say it couldnt' change the outcome is false.
Liquor stores, 7/11 workers have guns behind their counters. I agree it could happen coming/going as well, etc. but it still gives you a chance.
It's relatively easy to take a self defense class and learn the basics. Hot Shots in Smyrna offers a class for around $65 to teach people how to shoot and defend themselves with a gun.
