They can easily be ambushed coming out/going in as well.
I hope the perpetrators are caught.

unfortunately "getting caught" rarely results in any real punishment.
hence the subject of self defense keeps coming up in these posts.
america disneyland for criminals.

Not in this part of town. The neighbors attend Courtwatch and the judge is a lot harsher when all the neighbors are in the courtroom.

I'm just saying a gun could have helped, not that it necessarily would have.

I think people should have the right to defend themselves any way they are able. However, Rambo is not reality and an outnumbered shooter rarely lives in a situation like this.

i am so glad you are trying.
what do you define as "harsh"
my concept of "harsh" is executing the getaway driver not just the murderers.

Eventhough he was out numbered, shooting one in the head or maybe two would have been okay with me. That was a stupid act. Senseless

perhaps but when getz shot the 4 armed gangbangers on NYC subway during a robbery attempt, crime fell 18% on the entire subway line within 24 hrs. resistance is not futile.

We conceal carry and practice weekly for this very reason. Without a defense, we would be just waiting to die at the hands of such people in such conditions. If we cannot protect ourselves, there is no way at all we could protect our children. None at all.

Liquor stores, 7/11 workers have guns behind their counters. I agree it could happen coming/going as well, etc. but it still gives you a chance.
It's relatively easy to take a self defense class and learn the basics. Hot Shots in Smyrna offers a class for around $65 to teach people how to shoot and defend themselves with a gun.

Well, maybe so.
I tell you what. If I worked late nights in such an establishment I'd certainly be considering a range of measures (including quitting).

It's incidents like this that **** me off. The victim as we know was an honest citizen trying to live a good life. He wasn't dealing drugs, or in a gang, or did nothing to **** the perpetrators off. They could have just took the money and left, which is already bad enough, but they had to end his life execution style. That's what makes me feel unsafe in Atlanta and sad to see that it's going back to the old days of pre-1996 when Atlanta was really dangerous. Almost a decade of progress gone to waste.
