Here is something that I am going to throw out there with a racial component to it... Were both the delivery guy and the bartender killed by a person(s) of the same race? If so, why? Why does THAT happen? That to me should be the real story, I'd think...

If that was the meaning you got from my posting you and Aries are mistakened and you didn't read what I said. I said that the real story would why two different people being: the bartender(Henderson-white guy) and the Delivery guy(black guy) would be killed by robbers of a similar race(should have clarified).

In other words, if both victims had their lives taken away by robbers who share similar backgrounds, what is in these robbers's backgrounds that would drive them to destroy the lives of others? I was NOT asking the question from the sense that robbers AND the victims share the same background. Does that clarify things?

If there is a misunderstanding just ask, I won't bite. Is it that hard?

No, it does not clarify...what you also seem to be saying is that people might have a tendency to destroy people from a "dissimilar" background...

Boy, you are just twisting what I said into every direction! Okay... let's start over in a different way: Why do people feel the need to rob and kill other people?

What a sad, terrible thing. This reminds me of an incident in Charlotte, where two employees at the Moe's in Dilworth were shot and killed. (Dilworth is a nice neighborhood, by the way). And this happened before the economy started getting really bad.

It just goes to show senseless violence can and does happen any time, any place.

The economy has nothing to do with this, though the media aims it toward that idea.

When the economy goes down and recessions and layoffs set in, you do see a rise in things like shoplifting, property theft, car break-ins, and things like that. Even some really desperate people may rob a bank. But you do NOT see people with the mentality of, "I just got laid off, I got to go kill me somebody". Sorry - doesn't happen.

The kinds of people who do this sort of thing are dangerous creatures that would do it anyway, even in a good economy. They are not regular people who have been laid off who feel they are forced to shoplift or steal something in order to survive.
