Stuff to do in Peachtree City
Hi-
We're travelling up that way to check out Peachtree City next week with our kids. We plan on visiting the elementary schools, but in addition to that, I'm hoping to find some cool stuff around town to keep my kids busy while their dad is working - and sell them on the idea of moving up there. Can anyone out there give me some info on parks, rec areas, etc. that my little ones would enjoy? They are 8 and 4 years old.
Thanks!

Ditto. I will be down next week and will need suggestions for child friendly activities while my husband is working.

O.K, the PTC library is nice and kid friendly as to be expected and free! There is an outdoor fountain to sit by and "play" or read or whatever. There is an inflatable jumping place in Tyrone, I can't think of the name of it off hand. Tyrone is the next city over. Dixieland Fun Park is in Fayetteville, which is not too far away. There are rides, games, and other type things. Open on the weekends only until the summer. 1675 Hwy 85 N is the address.

Stuff to do in Peachtree City Georgia
There is also a cool indoor inflatable party facility (zone) in Peachtree City, instead of having to drive to Tyrone. The name of it is Jump 2 It, and they have open jump available every day, which no one else around there offers. Here is there website, if you want to check them out www.jump2itptc.com . Enjoy.

I would check out the Kedron Aquactic Center off of Kedron drive. It is a great place to swim all year around with 2 covered pools (One Olympic size )for use all year around.
Also behind the Library is All Chidren's Play ground which is a really nice place to go play, feed the ducks, have a picnic. Also across the street from that is a frisbee park which is fun to do . Also there are several golf cart paths there (in the area of the library) which are fun to walk on to get a feel for what they are like and walk around the lake.
One of the really fun things my kids have done with thier classes is to go see the Confederate Air Force at Falcon Field. They have a collection of old war planes which are interesting to see . I am not sure if they give private tours but it wouldn't hurt to ask them via e-mail . I think they have a website - just google them.

One of the best things to do in PTC is to go to Line Creek on the west side of town. It is a wonderful hiking area with a small river (great for the kids/dogs to play). There is also an old Civil War bridge ruin there which is historically significant.
Discovering, exploring, and walking the golf cart paths is always fun too. There are a couple of nature preserves and they are very pretty. There are also numerous golf courses, and the tennis center. Plus, the shopping is great.
