Anyone know where I can find discounted tickets (other than craigslist)?

I doubt that there are any discount tickets available. I have never seen a coupon or anything like that posted anywhere. I did check the website for Cirque and there are still tickets available.

It appears that the moderators here have been deleting a lot of posts lately.

I see no difference between what you posted and someone posting a link to a restaurant or hotel on a thread about visiting or dining in Atlanta.

People are posting blatant, obvious ads for themselves in the thread linked below, and the moderators have not removed them:

Moderators...what gives?

How about this?...

You see the little triangular icon in the upper-right of the posts with the exclamation point in it? That is what you use to report an "ad" or other nasty post someone has made. Lots of folks complain about posts and ads, but those same people never report them using that icon. There are thousands of posters for each moderator - we're not God-like. If you don't report, we can't respond. If we respond to a post, it's most likely because someone or multiple someones have reported it.

As far as deleting posts - if someone has a new history and posts a link to something that is not familiar, yes, it may indeed be deleted as an ad, because we do get quite a few people on here who are affiliated with companies, who will sign up for city-data just so they can reply to postings and sneak in a subtle-worded "ad". Upon further investigation, it may be released if it's found to be legit, or remain deleted if it looks suspect.

Last, a note to remind of part of the terms of service agreement: "Discussing moderator actions (deleting/moving/editing threads or posts) is not allowed in the public forums. General concerns should be addressed in About the Forum. Any particular issues will only be dealt with in Direct Messages sent to a local moderator."

Thank you.

Thanks, JPD.
I am just getting familiar with this forum, and was merely trying to be helpful, in answering the OP's question. I found 2 places selling discount Cirque tickets. The better deal seems to be in the link that is in post #4. The other was from a travel website that sends me updates on deals.

I understand that some posts or posters may look like spam, and the job of having to scrutinize them is a tough and often thankless one.
