Default Douglasville, Carrollton, kind of remind me of rust belt cities.

I have been around Carrollton and Douglasville and for some reason those suburbs remind me of rust belt cities. It strikes me as kind of strange because when Atlanta comes to mind, the last thing I think about is rust belt. What do you think?

Well Carrollton is only 90 minutes or so from Birmingham, and I consider Birmingham a rust belt city, so I don't think it's odd for you to consider Carrollton a rust belt city.

Cities like Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit are examples of Rust Belt cities. These are cities in which historically the economy has been defined by the steel industry and other heavy manufacturing.

Okay Well in that case no I don't see a comparison. Closer to farm belt than rust belt if anything. In fact some have joked that I live in the country.

I have been in Douglasville and to me it has a somewhat industrial look. Carrollton even more so. An industrial look combined with a worn-out appearance. Marietta CAN resemble that in some places, but not like Douglasville or Carrollton.

Well I have seen a horse farm. But no cows yet. But I like it out here. Well except for some issues with our garbage pickup around the holidays. And of course the fact that I have to drive 20 miles to get to the closest train station. But that is an issue of itself in this area and certainly not restricted to Douglasville. But I don't really need to leave town for anything on the weekends unless it's nightlife and we haven't really done any of that. Other than that everything else is right in town.
