Fulton County has named its two new high schools that will open in August 2009.
Langston Hughes High School will open in South Fulton County:

Johns Creek High School will open in North Fulton County in Johns Creek:
Johns Creek High School
They will be the "Johns Creek Gladiators." Now, all of the North Fulton cities (north of the Chattahoochee) will have a high school namesake...Roswell, Milton, Alpharetta, and now Johns Creek. A good name for the new high school in my opinion.
**Some of you might find the process by which they named Langston Hughes High School pretty interesting. A big reason for naming the school Langston Hughes was in response to an article that was written in the last few months. The article talked about how "school-naming" in our society (the whole U.S.) had shifted away from naming schools after people worthy of emulation or after great people in our country.
