Need help on some questions.
I'm a 28 year old dad, married with 3 kids 5,3,1 and soon moving to Georgia and my place for employment is in forest park and I'm looking for the best cities near or within a 15 to 25 minute drive. I will be renting and would love and appreciate all currents residents to help so that I may make a good and informed decision.
Thank you in advance,
Ron

With your children as young as they are, you will probably do all right in any of the neighboring towns. Fayetteville is a nice town and not too far from Forest Park. It will be good for schools when your children get older. I believe McDonough might be a good choice for you as well. I have friends in Forest Park. They have been there for years, but have no young children. I don't know how the town will be for kids. You can probably look up Fayetteville, Hampton, McDonough, and Peachtree City on the internet. I don't know your budget. Peachtree City will probably be the most expensive, followed by Fayetteville, Hampton, and then McDonough. Hampton is the smallest town, but has a lot of new subdivisions going into the area. Actually Fayette and Henry counties are both still growing a lot.
Good luck with your move.

I think I'd go with Fayetteville.
It's about 15-16 miles south/southwest of Forest Park so it would just about meet your acceptable commute time of 25 minutes. Peachtree City is nice, but about 10 miles farther and you'd get into more traffic.

You got good advice. If you have a lot of flexibility, in general, north of the city is more prosperous (better schools, safer) than the south.
Clayton County is rapidly turning into a disaster zone; its public schools lost their accreditation (I think, maybe they were only told they were going to lose it if they didn't take drastic action) a few months ago. The schools are in complete disarray, being tossed around by politicians who seem to be stupid and venal, even by the standards of US cities.
