Default Old Searcy House in Griffin, Georgia

Does anyone have or know of a photograph of the old Searcy House in Griffin, Georgia. I was born there in 1948 ! It has been torn down and replaced by a casket company building. It was reportedly haunted and still pops up in my mind at times. A photograph appeared in a copy of the Griffin Daily News, but have no idea what year or date. You could make my day if you have one.....

I'm guessing that since you know that a picture exists- the Griffin paper hasn't archived past issues in a digital format or cataloged them for easy reference?

I just saw your post, and luckily I do have a photo of the house. I will have to search through some old family boxes, and find it. As soon as I do I will let you know, and send it to you.

Hey Bill, I grew up down the street from the Old Searcy House on Searcy Ave. I remember you. My name is David Baugh. Do you remember me? It been about 40 plus years. I'd love to have that picture to. I've got an old rifle that my grandfather Castleberry found in that old house. It was on top of an old book cabinet.

We are planning a move to the DelWeb community in Grifin, Georgia. Any thoughts/feelings of this area? My husband is also looking for employment as an OD grinder (31 years experience). Does anyone know of any manufacturing companies in that area ? Anyone hiring?
