Man, I feel sorry for anyone who is out of work, especially right now.
I do to, I think it is very important to reach out to any unemployed friends or family and just show support, may not be able to actually get them the money, but just being reassured that things will be get better can help a lot. It's F'ed up in a way, what I hate is the people that are still in denial of what is going on. Those individuals that still have their "great" job and want to act like everyone that is suffering is the fault of their own. I'm so thankful I have a gig. I don't see how can anyone could get by without one, yet there are so many people unemployed that WANT to work. Life....

Any idea?
Man your list is way too narrow bro...you need to fill out apps everywhere! And I mean EVERYWHERE not just the pretty stuff. Beggers can't be choosers champ. The Airport has a lot of gigs people get hired and fired all the time, try to get into that rotation, just don't get fired. Word.

Take it from someone that knows first hand... the job market is bad enough to make you give up hope after a while. I landed a contract gig luckily but im still nervous about gettin hired on after my contract is up the way things are going.

Before I got this job I only had 2 weeks of unemployment left and no clue what to do next. If it came down to it i was gonna have to hustle.

I saw a national unemployment rate break down by sector and it really depends on what sector your in. Banking, housing, manufacturing, hospitality, etc are not the areas you want to be in right now. But other sectors are very low, like 2-3% and I happen to be in that one of those areas.

If you know someone who is hurting, it might be wise to try to convince them to change arenas. They might have to go learn a few skills out of pocket but would definately be beneficial.
