Thanks for all the suggestions.


We try and avoid the fast food chains, likewise with the upmarket 'Microwave' restaurants like Olive Garden.


Are there any old style diners in the downtown area, somewhere that still cracks their own eggs?

No the Peasant is gone too. They moved further downtown The Peasant Restaurants

There is a Taco Mac at Philips Arena. Great place for a burger. It is a local chain with a huge beer selection. Taco Mac (http://www.taco-mac.com/philips_arena.htm - broken link)

CNN Center has some fast food restaurants. There is a Chick-fil-A which is a southern favorite. Store Site

No Mas is a great place!

What about Legal Seafoods across from the Aquarium? Anyone been there yet?

I mean, I find it somewhat disturbing to see a seafood place right across from an Aquarium (count those fish in the tanks!), but the ratings I believe are good for the place.
