Will you be working in Woodstock or somewhere near? You really need to take into account job location before settling on an area.

HI wxjay,
Thanks for your reply. I work on Roswell Road close to exit 6 on GA400 and my wife works at Exit 18 on I-285. We thought Woodstock would be closer to both of us comparing to Suwanee, Alpharetta and Cumming. Also the traffic will not be much hard.

"Woodstock" encompasses a large area, including the actual incorporated City of Woodstock, as well as large unincorporated areas of Cherokee County that have Woodstock mailing addresses. Given that, there are tons of great areas you can consider, but a little more info on what you're looking for in a house, your budget, etc., would be helpful in narrowing down your choices.

I am looking for houses close to Highway 92 with a budget not more than 300K. I am preferred about Woodlands Subdivision. My only concern is about the value of the education my son is going to get and safe life for my family. Please let me know you guys suggestion on this. Also if possible let me know about the traffic.

It's a nice area. Traffic isn't much of an issue. Yet for some reason it always takes longer than it should; could be the traffic lights.

Check greatschools.net. In general, the schools in Cherokee County are pretty good, but you can get specifics on individual schools on that site. You can also look at some areas in East Cobb just south of 92. Bear in mind that the drive on 92 to get to 575 to 75 to 285 may be painful during rush hour.......

Little river is very good.. The staff makes up for the somewhat aging buildings but the facilities themselves are fully equipped.
There is also arnold mill but i just don't know about it, as in i haven't even been in it.

Bob,
Thanks for the reply. I searched in east Cobb, no new homes close to 300K and also older homes are built very long back. That's why I preferred Woodstock. How about the commute in the evening from 285 to Hwy 92? Is there any inner roads which connects Sandy Plains Road from Cobb pkwy?
