Default Botox

I have been thinking about getting Botox lately and, was wondering if anyone has had any person experience with this.

A lady in my office had it done above her eyebrows and I kid you not, said her forehead felt like Styrofoam for two weeks. Looked kinda funky, too. I did smooth out the wrinkles, but heck, in a couple of months they started to appear again and later they were back. She said she's not going through that again.

Hey, we guys don't do the anti-wrinkle stuff - I guess we should take care of our skin better than we do, but generally it's seen as a woman-thing. I would think from the conversations I hear the ladies talk about at work though, that there are creams and stuff that can do almost the same thing as injecting toxic chemicals into your head.

Thank you so much for your response. I was thinking that maybe I would be proactive about the whole aging thing. I'm not wrinkled or anything, but I am starting to notice that some changes are taking place. Lets just say I am closer to 40 then I am 30.

Yeah, that's called nature, though. Hey, just be glad you're not a guy - we get hair growing out of things you'd not wanna explore when we hit 40. (let that go where you want).

Surely with all the BILLIONS of dollars of goopy stuff they sell for women out there, there's stuff that works as good as sticking needles in you. Go to Costco - I got my mom this gift set for Xmas that has some stuff brand named "Borgese" or something like that, that's supposed to be as good as the expensive stuff. She said it's really good, but I don't know the details of what she means by "good". Still, she liked it and wanted me to get more of it for her.

Physical changes are natural, and not all of us guys are ... unappreciative ... of the differences between older and younger women.

Yes physical changes are natural...it's good thing that me considering this has nothing to do with a man...but more of my own personal belief in not going down without a fight :-)

I don't have any experience with botox but if you want it and can afford it go for it. Everyone wants to look thier best and if it makes you feel good then you should do it. Before I'd do it I 'd ask a dermatologist first. I think I'd do it if I didn't have kids college tuition down the road.

Heheh. I salute you in your noble struggle against the (probably) inevitable.

Maybe someone will invent a youth drug in the next 10 years so folks like us won't go too far down that road.

My neighbor swears by Dr. Ken Neufeld at Thomas Eye Group. She goes there for Botox every 4 months. I've never tried it but to be honest, she looks pretty amazing!

Well, that settles it - rcsteiner wants a COUGAR! Woohoo. No botox needed.

FYI though - the local news did a story on Botox a while back, and they do highly recommend you thoroughly investigate ANYONE who you seek the procedure from. There is such a thing as "bad Botox" and it can cause permanent disabilities and/or deformities (or worse) if you get the bad stuff or it's not done right. So if you do decide to go this route, make sure you take the proper precautions regarding investigations first. Or, just move in with rcsteiner and you won't have to worry about it. LOL
