Default Smyrna-Union City getting "massive" gas pipeline

Brief excerpt from Atlanta Journal-Constitution article published on 3/13/07:
Quote:
Property owners along 19 miles of Georgia Power transmission corridor should be getting letters this week, telling them that the company plans to build a massive natural gas pipeline [30 inches in diameter] underneath those lines… It will run from just north of Union City, where it connects with an interstate gas pipeline, to Georgia Power's Plant McDonough near Smyrna.
...330 properties along the route, including 210 residential properties, of which between 140 and 150 are in East Point. Properties along the pipeline's East Point path include Greenbriar Mall, Therrell High School, the Kids Thyme Early Learning Center and the Piney Woods subdivision.
