Question How is Fairburn?

Hi everyone. I am 30 years young and currently live in New york state. I was thinking of transfering with my company down to Fairburn. How is this area? Also is crime really that bad down there. It seems thats all I read about is people worried about the crime.

Fairburn is AWESOME! Okay, so I'm biased about where I live. Fairburn overall is a cool place to be. It is very convenient to nearby shopping. It is about 20-25 minutes to downtown Atlanta, 15 minutes from Fayetteville, 20 minutes from Douglasville, 20 minutes from Newnan, and 15 minutes from Camp Creek.

Anything close to downtown Fairburn I'd stay away from, but, the most desirable parts of Fairburn are the areas near South Fulton Parkway, Hwy 92 going towards Douglasville, and Cedar Grove.
There's another part of Fairburn in Fayette County; it is also very nice as well. The schools are Flat Rock Middle, and Sandy Creek HIgh. I don't know that much about those schools but I do know that schools in Fayette fair very well with the competition.

Schools are okay; honestly they are not GREAT but they fair well in the county. The County is Fulton. Crime is not that bad here. It's a nice low-key town close to shopping, downtown, and the airport.

Where in Fairburn were you thinking about moving to?

Sweet Atlanta Peach. The area in Fayette is not Fairburn, it's Tyrone. and Sandy Creek High and Flat Rock Middle are in Tyrone as well. Fairburn limits stop at the county line.
