We will be moving to Marietta (or around Marietta) next month and need to find a rental home. My husband got a job on Windy Hill Rd. and we would like to move around that area so it is easy for commuting. I am worried about areas, and have heard that East Cobb is a great area. Is NE Cobb too far to commute to Windy Hill Rd? Is there shopping near by? What neighborhoods should I look at? Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Well, technically Windy Hill Rd. is in Marietta. Marietta is in Cobb County. When people speak of East Cobb, they could be talking about Marietta, but probably not the Windy Hill area. Have you looked at a map yet? If you live in the northeastern corner of Cobb County, your commute could be 45 minutes or more depending on traffic.
