Julie, many people love living in the Eagle's Landing area of Stockbridge. It's about 20 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Another nearby option is the town of Fayetteville in Fayette County, Georgia. It has a quaint little town square and historic courthouse. Fayetteville is about an equal distance to either Stockbridge or the airport (about 16-17 miles). You can find nice houses on big lots there, sometimes with 2 or more acres, in the mid-to-upper 200s.

I'm not sure which commute to the airport would be easiest for you along those routes, but it might be nice if one of you didn't have to fight traffic. Your husband could have the laundry done and dinner ready by the time you get home. Consider making that part of the deal if you live closer to his job than to yours.
