Default Police Officers??

I had just turned left onto Jimmy Carter Blvd. from downtown Atlanta and was heading towards the Burger King on Buford Highway when I saw a police light blaring. Thinking he was headed to an emergency, I really didn't know what to do so I stopped in the middle of the green light at Brook Hollow to let the police car pass. After he passed I proceed down JCB only to see another police vehicle with lights blaring and at this point I panicked. I thought these officers were surely in lieu of some "big" criminal or crime scene and even made the statement to the occupants of my car that I hoped they got whoever they were after.

My concern is that there was no emergency and these officers could have caused an accident just to get to the Dunkin Donut shop on Jimmy Carter Blvd. I was trying to keep my eyes on the lights as I traveled up Jimmy Carter and the lights just disappeared so I kept wondering and asking what happened to the police cars. Did they turn their lights off or what? One of the passengers in my car kept his eyes on the cars said they went to the Dunkin Donuts. I then thought there must be an emergeny at the Dunkin Donuts but as I passed the donut shop I realized that there was no emergency and the cars were indeed parked there. These unscrupulous officers used their emergency lights to get to the donut shop and could have cause an accident or even loss of life.

Not the only state where they do that. I think it is part of their training ya know! Practice getting thru traffic when they really need to. Plus have you ever tasted fresh "HOT"! donuts??? Muuuuuuuuuum GooooooooD !, so they kill some one in the process? It was worth it ( in their small minds ) "HOT DONUTS" !!!!!
