Good one GT I agree just like if someone did not vote for the left wing obama does not make them a racist no matter who thinks that way. I voted for a conservative or the most conservative person for the job.

Poverty doesn't necessarily bring out the worst in people, but ignorance and poverty, combined with parents that don't care and/or aren't around, can be a terrible combination.
There are poor people who don't commit crimes or make excuses for their kids committing crimes. Manners don't cost a thing, and you make a choice as to how you will live your life and how you will bring up your kids. Too many people having kids they can't support or doing so without a father involved has also taken a huge toll.

You can call it anything you wish. If you like the term racist, then use it. I do not care. It is an absolute fact that whenever an area becomes Majority black, crime and corruption follows. Property values decrease. School test scores drop. When given the community as a whole, it becomes worse.
You may not like this comment, but I am interested if anyone can point to a community where this is not true. I do not know of any, but will quickly apologize if someone will point one out to me.
The great social experiment is over in my opinion and has proven to diminish the overall quality of life. If you do not fit this mold, then I am not talking to you.
I cannot help it if the Black Communities cannot make better circumstances. I cannot help it if I do not want to argue or stoop down to this mentality. You call it White Flight, but I simply consider it humble.
I am not as arrogant to think everyone should live as I. It is fine with me if the criminal black want to live together along with the criminal white. It is awful arrogant of anyone to feel I should be subjected to any culture different than my own. I have a heritage and way of life and anyone who feels I should change it out of 'diversity' is infringing on my rights and being oppressive.

It is not the apartments, it is the people who reside there. Look at Maryville Tennesse and you will find low crime, high rental rates, great community involvement and great schools.
It is here
http://www.city-data.com/city/Maryville-Tennessee.html
Then look at the racial breakdown. Then be honest and let me know if you think it is not because of race.

I know of plenty majority black and racially mixed communities in the atlanta area that are considered very desirable- just look at Cascade and Camp Creek. Focusing on one community that is majority white and is also desirable and making the assumption that all white communities will have lower crime, higher incomes and more community involvement than minority communities is foolish. It's simply not true. half of the south metro is black and there are some very nice areas. The average household income has increased dramatically in Henry county with all of the minorities moving in- It's certainly wealthier now than when it was a majority white agricultural county. You just can't look at things in terms of black and white.

This is why I am totally opposed to anything or anyone who tells me diversity is a good thing. I have seen what has become of Clayton county all in the name of diversity!

"Diversity" WILL NEVER work when it's just black and white. NEVER. Why - because of the history. Whites (not all) were foul and never atoned for their deeds.
Diversity only works when it includes women, gays, lesbians, asians, indians, hispanaics, blacks, whites, etc....
3 schools in Gwinnett County that come to mind fit this mold: Parkview, Norcross, and Peach Tree Ridge HS's. All are highly rated - and very diverse!!! In fact, I think that most of us view diversity through a narrow prism - i.e. Clayton County. The County was NEVER diverse. It was just White, than white-black, now black. Two is not diverse. Diversity = Variety, Multi. This is why New York Works. Multiply tribes, keep the whole honest. Two Tribes with a tragic past - NEVER!!!

I agree (Can you believe that). It was in the "name of diversity" - certianly wasn't diversity. I will tell you what is was. It was a lame attempt at pretending that blacks and whites could just get along without addressing profound social and econmic issues - rooted and the past and exhibited in the present.
