I live in the Decatur area and work Sundays and late at nights (so I'm sleeping in the morning). I'd love to attend a church service on Saturday evenings.

The Catholics do a great job of offering Saturday services, but I'd prefer a moderate-to-liberal Protestant church. I'm Baptist, but any good Protestant church would do!

Any ideas of what I can check into?

Perimeter Church (http://www.perimeterchurch.org/index.php?follow=yes - broken link) in Duluth offers a 6 p.m. service on Saturdays. It looks to be about a half hour from you, but given that you'd be going on the weekend the traffic shouldn't turn it into a nightmare of a drive.

You might want to try a Monday or Tuesday evening Taize service. There are several throughout Atlanta as different churches participate in the rotation and some are in the Emory/Decatur area.

Taize is an ecumenical service focusing on faith through stillness, simple music, scripture and prayer. I usually describe it as the "yoga of church".

Drop in to one of these services and you might be surprised how much this type of worship appeals to you!

Seventh Day Adventists worship on a Saturday, they have similar values to Baptists, I've never had an issue with them, always found them to be good if a little old fashioned but I would say the same of Baptists.
