True. And snoop through there stuff! Why has this become so taboo lately. May parents snooped through all of my stuff when I was a kid and made no apologies about it. Look in there drawers, under the bed, in the closets... all of that... might find an assault rifle.

By all means snoop through their stuff, but for the love of all things chocolate and smothered in buttercream, never, ever, ever read a 15 year old girl's diary. Scariest thing since Stephen King logged on.

No, most likely the mini-14 was a MINI-14. It's a rifle made by Ruger and is sold at every Walmart I've ever been inside. It would be a stretch to call it a machine gun. It's a semi-automatic rifle. Dangerous at a school or in the hands of kids? ABSOLUTELY! But come on, lets not go overboard.

If you read my post I said the AR Mini is probably an AR-14, wasn't sure, but I am sure that an AK-47 is very much a machine gun. Thats why the nickname of an AK-47 is "chopper" because the bullets come out so fast they spin around like a helicpoter blade.

Please tell me you're joking. If you're not, I'm sorry to break it to you, but rounds from an AK-47 come out the same way as most modern firearms. For the lay person( which I think you qualify as) the bullets spin more like a football because the barrel is rifled. They only spin like helicopter blades in video games and cartoons.

FYI, I read your previous post and you said,"

And what Wal-Mart on earth sells AK-47's and AR-14's????? Most gun stores don’t even sell them. Trying to lie and attempt to make machine guns into simple pistols isn't going to change the perception that I have of Cherokee as.... well you said it best -some "Redneck Militia" out in Cherokee County plotting to kill all of the "rich transplants".....

I can’t believe you said an AK-47 isn’t an automatic weapon that can be bought at Wal-Mart. Dude how in the world did you become a moderator????
I never said you can buy an AK-47 in Walmart- I said you can buy guns in Walmart that are just as dangerous as what they found this morning. As was pointed out to you, the Mini-14 is a Ruger rifle that can be bought in practically any gun store- it's a far cry from the AR-15 that you're trying to compare it to.

And you can have whatever "perception of Cherokee County" you'd like, provided I can have my perception of the intown neighborhoods. I'd be willing to bet that you've never even been to Cherokee County, so likely your perception is based on nothing.

Lastly, I don't know what you think it takes to be a moderator around here, but please don't think it keeps me from having an opinion- especially on topics that I have decent knowledge of.

I really hate to pile on, but there is no such thing as an AR-14, unless you are talking about speakers. You probably wanted to refer to the AR-15.

There are tons of good gun websites out there you can use to research if you wanted to learn about firearms. Do a google search.
