Between, Georgia always makes me chuckle!

Him: Where are you?
Her: In Between
Him: In between what (or who)?

You get my drift...

there was a thread in the Georgia forum last year on this very topic.. I think it pretty much covered all of the unusual place names in Georgia.. a simple search should pull it up. Georgia certainly has some places with some very odd names.. many I was not even aware of.

One of my favorites is "Hopeulikit" just north of Statesboro at the junction of US Hwy 25 and 80.
It's supposed to be pronounced "Hope You Like It" as in "Hope you like our community."...but because of the spelling many ppl think its pronounced "Hope you lick it" and get aquite a chuckle when they see the sign.

Another favorite in teh Statesboro area is "Blitchton".. every time I see that sign...it seems as though the "L" is missing.
