Can anyone give me a reasonable commute time from Duluth to Downtown Atlanta? I expect I'd go in around 6:00am and come out around 4:30pm if I work a 9 hour day or 3:30pm if I work an 8 hour day. It looks like driving to MARTA in Doraville and taking it to 5 points is the best go...agree?

That's tough commute. If you find a house on west side of Duluth (around peachtree industrial), you can drive on peachtree industrial to Doraville MARTA, Maybe 25 minutes or more in the morning. But in the afternoon, it could be much longer if you leave around 4:30pm. I read your earlier posts, if you can afford (300,000 to 350,000 range), try to find a house in West Norcross (on peachtree Parkway). Those neighborhoods are only 10 to 15 minutes to Doraville MARTA. Doraville to downtown is between 35 to 40 minutes. That's more managable.

By all means take MARTA at Doraville.
Leaving home at 6"00 am....traffic will be relatively light.......but rush hour now begins at 3:00 pm. Stick with MARTA.

I live in Duluth near Sugarloaf and Peachtree Industrial and have to commute into Buckhead everyday. The worst part of the trip is getting to Doraville. The rest is comparatively easy.

Your best bet is to ride the express bus from Discover Mills Mall. I have been riding the buses for about three months and now dread the days I have to drive in.
