Your best bet will be Decatur if you don't want to drive more than 20 min, but if you don't want to pay more than $700 a month, i will see you living in Lithonia

From a recent post I believe you could find something on North Druid Hills for around $700.

ProMove apt rental service might be your best bet.

There are some nice apartments on Scott Blvd (city of Decatur) that are probably in that range, too. Many of them are smaller complexes or privately owned that won't appear in the big online directories. You just need to drive around.

Yah, Decatur and North Druid Hills are great choices. Lots of people like CAlibre Woods off of Lavista. Have you tried them?

Absolutely: There are a lot of rent specials going on in that area. I friend of mine just got a deal in the Briarhill complex on Sheridan Rd. (good area) for about that price.

www.briarhillapts.com

You could get to DMC in about 15-20 minutes from there.

i'm not sure of the pricing....but, there are several apartment complexes very near DMC. if you travel east on N. Decatur, the next intersection past DMC will be Dekalb Industrial....there are several complexes to either the L or R of north decatur on Dekalb Industrial (street that runs in front of kroger)...these would even be in walking distance I would think of DMC. There are also a few complexes near Scott Blvd & Clairmont. There are also a few more further out Scott Blvd where it turns into Lawrenceville Hwy (beyond the N. Druid Hills intersection). All of these would be close. Downtown decatur is also an option (but maybe less affordable). You might also check craigslist or the emory off campus housing finder (google that & you'll get a link to a site w/ apartment listings, apartment shares, etc).

Good luck!

Park on Clairmont has apartments with pretty big layouts compared to some others I've seen. You might give them a try, not sure what their rates are at this time. I know they have 1, 2, and even 3 bedroom apartments.

3180 Clairmont Rd NE
