Not much unless you're in the city limits. They're basically the same. There's a few different schools now, but other than that, they're very similar.

Acworth is a bit farther north than Kennesaw. Kennesaw is a larger area. I would also say some of the schools in Kennesaw (Harrison High and Kennesaw Mtn High) are better than some of the HS in Acworth but they share some schools as well.

There really isn't much difference. I have relocated people to both areas and have not found anything except location to be a real difference.

I grew up in Kennesaw, great place. Harrison and Kennesaw Mountain are great schools but I hear North Cobb is going down hill. NCH mine as well be in Acworth though, it's right on the line. If you have any specific questions, go to town.

To piggyback on this question, I am also considering a move to Kennesaw/Acworth. We have narrowed down to Harrison/Kennessaw Mtn schools. Our kids are early elementary age.

I would love some recommendations for neighborhoods in the $250-300k range. To get more specific, 4 bedroom home with basement and decent size yard. Swim/Tennis would be nice.

Any of the neighborhoods around Due West/Stilesboro Rd. would meet your requirements just fine I should think. I can't name specific sub-divisions but if you take a ride down Stilesboro Rd. or Due West Rd. you'll see plenty. Anywhere in that general area will keep you in the Kennesaw Mtn./ Harrision districts and there really aren't any nasty areas through there. Don't be afraid to explore, Kennesaw has ALOT that would meet your wants.

Um, FYI for everyone here, North Cobb is Kennesaw but serves alot of Acworth, Harrison is Acworth. It depends on the address, there's now an Allatoona High that serves mostly Acworth.
