Default Buford or Sugar Hill to Norcross?

My husband and I are moving to the Atlanta area. We really want (and need budget wise, 215k tops) to stay north of the city. He will be working in Norcross (Peachtree Corners area). We love the houses we have seen in Buford and Sugar Hill, but will that commute just be a total beast? Obviously we expect a decent commute...it is Atlanta. He is originally from L.A., so he doesn't scare easy in the traffic department.

Also, we are really hoping for towns that feel like a community. Any thoughts? Thanks so much!

Does the above smilie make anyone else start hearing the first lines of Ice Ice Baby in their head? Stop collaborate and listen..... really entertains me

During the summer months the traffic on Peachtree Industrial Blvd is much more manageable. I live in Sugar Hill and commute to Sandy Springs (just inside the 285 perimeter) it is a distance of 33 miles and on a good day is approximately 45min one way. However, that being said, it has taken me an 1 and 15 minutes on my worst day but that is rare. usually you can count on no more than 1 hour one way to be safe. Local radio is fair but there is plenty of time to catch up on reading or whatever else goes on in your brain while you are captive to the traffic. Good luck! Happy House hunting!
