Maybe now the troubled APS system can start rebuilding...it definitely needs to.

And we wonder why kids today cheat and lie. Look at their role models. Ugh.

It turns my stomach.

I think Beverly Hall received a bonus check for around $78,000 due to improved test scores. It's absolute stupidity for the school board to include a bonus clause in an employment contract.

Sadly, from a financial standpoint, losing The Beverly Hall Furniture Stores put a few people out of work in the metro area. Now, I'm so happy to say that THIS Beverly Hall is out of work. Over the many years, The Beverly Hall Furnitures Stores stood for excellence and integrity.

This Beverly Hall has none of those worthwhile attributes. I trust Anthony Morrison more than her. And that ain't saying much.

Meh.

Beverly Hall is just a sidenote as far as I'm concerned. Whether she is brought up on charges or not, means nothing when looking at the bigger picture.

The real problem is our entire education system and the reality that we Americans aren't willing to put in the major reforms necessary to make it work for everyone. You have way too many factions fighting to impose their own ideologies & agendas at the expense of the children.

One faction wants to return us to the pre-Reconstruction days when only families with money could educate their children. Another faction thinks that only the teachers' unions should be cared for & highly compensated, but without any true performance metrics to justify their pay.

There may be more players in this twisted game whose agendas are yet to be observed. Either way, it's usually the children who suffer in the end.

I am still wondering why is it so hard for us Americans to look outside of our own continental boundaries to observe how other nations educate their children and see if we can't copy the best of the education models in the world. Singapore & Finland according to my research has the best models by far, but interestingly enough you would think that any true educators in this country who care would be jumping up & down sounding off the clarion call on why such models can't work here.

Do any educators in the U.S. not travel? Or maybe if they do travel, it's limited only to places with likeminded educators? Maybe THAT'S the main failing of American's public school system: it produces people who lack the open-mindedness & agressive spirit to look outside of their own cultural-social-political spheres & observe the world around them...and then learn from it.

Oh well, I definitely will look forward to the next corporate media instigated "sky is falling" emergency situation involving the real or perceived ineptitudes of our public school systems.

That judge was also alledged to have made many unjust sentencing decisions that were biased against black male criminal defendents.
